The objective of the programme is to make a realistic assessment of yield of cashew during every season based on parameters like surface area of canopy, number of nuts/sq meter of canopy area etc. In the current year spill over target will be carried out to fulfil the programme provided last year. The programme will be implemented by the respective Research Institutes in the major cashew growing states for updating the cashew database.
