Publicity programmes are intended to take up intensive publicity measures for promotion of cashew and Cocoa by disseminating latest production technologies to the farming community and other target groups coming under the fold of cultivation, processing, marketing and export. These are done by organizing District level seminar, fairs on cashew and cocoa in various states and also national and international seminars/conferences. All district level programmes are organized by the DCCD through the Research Institutes, SAU’s, KVK’s, state development departments, Registered Societies, Farmers Association, NGO etc. However,  National and International seminar and conferences are organised by DCCD in association with the hosting State's development department.

Details of major publicity programmes are given below:-

Scheme component Pattern of assistance
District level seminar Objective: To give intensive publicity measures for promotion of cashew and cocoa by dissemination of latest production technologies to the farming community and other target groups coming under the fold of cultivation, processing, marketing and export by organizing district level seminar in various states. 100% assistance subject to a maximum of Rs.0.75 lakh per event of 1 day involving 150 participants.
Cashew/cocoa fair/day Objective:to make aware the farmers/ public the importance, scope, latest technologies of cashew/cocoa cultivation and to make it profitable enterprise by organizing Cashew and Cocoa Mela/Field day in different States. 100% assistance subject to a maximum of Rs.0.50-3.00 lakh per event involving 200- 1000 participants.
National conference (Cashew/Cocoa) Objective: To deliberate and evolve strategies to augment domestic production of cashew by adopting feasible and viable technologies. 100% assistance subject to a maximum of Rs.5.00 lakh per event of 2 days for organisation by DCCD
Stakeholders meet on Cashew and Cocoa Objective: To evolve a developmental strategy in the form of an actionable plan for future and to bridge a gap between demand and supply in the cashew and cocoa sector .
