The main objective of the scheme to demonstrate latest technologies on cashew and cocoa production in the farmers’ field and under different agro-climatic regions and farming situations. While demonstrating the technologies in the farmers’ field, the scientist are required to study the factors contributing higher crop production, field constrains in production and thereby generate production data and feedback information. In this programme, it is proposed to identify the farmer’s field/ public farms for demonstration on latest recommended technologies by adopting various packages of practices such as, planting of clones / hybrid seedlings, adoption of soil & water conservation measures and irrigation etc. under high density planting.
